SamSeth shall not knowingly misrepresent the purity, composition or material of a product.

Where a product is sold as hallmarked silver, the applicable BIS hallmarking requirements shall be followed.

Where applicable, product and invoice information relating to hallmarking shall be maintained in accordance with the applicable BIS requirements.

BIS states that invoices for hallmarked precious-metal articles should contain relevant article details, net precious-metal weight, purity/fineness and applicable hallmarking charges.

Where HUID-based hallmarking applies to the particular article, the applicable BIS requirements concerning hallmark components and traceability shall be followed.

BIS's current information states that the revised silver standard introduced HUID-based hallmarking for silver jewellery/articles on a voluntary basis from 1 September 2025.
The exact marking requirements applicable to a product should therefore be verified against the current BIS requirements at the time of sale.

Where weight is stated as approximate, the customer should understand that the actual product weight may vary within the applicable manufacturing tolerance.

75. IMPORTANT LEGAL NOTE
These General Rules & Regulations are designed as a comprehensive business drafting framework for an Indian 925 silver jewellery e-commerce platform.
Before publishing them as SamSeth's final legally binding website terms, they should be reviewed and customised by an Indian lawyer/compliance professional for SamSeth's exact business structure, including:
Proprietorship / partnership / LLP / company structure
GST registration
BIS registration/hallmarking status
State-specific requirements
Website/app architecture
Payment gateway
Courier arrangements
Return/refund model
Privacy/data-processing practices
Exact promotional scheme
Applicable Legal Metrology requirements
This is particularly important because BIS hallmarking requirements and e-commerce/data-protection rules can change. BIS maintains the current hallmarking orders and registration framework, while the Department of Consumer Affairs and MeitY publish updates to the relevant e-commerce, consumer-protection and data-protection frameworks.
